The Serimbu Forest Jewel

What Is Labisia ‘Serimbu’?

Labisia ‘Serimbu’ is a locality-based Labisia collected from the Serimbu area in West Kalimantan, Borneo. The name refers to its origin rather than a formally described species.

Like other Labisia, it grows naturally on the shaded forest floor in warm, humid rainforest environments. It is not an aquatic plant and should never be submerged.

The Serimbu form is valued for its compact size and detailed foliage, which may show deep green tones, defined veins, or subtle metallic hints depending on the specific clone.

Authentic and regionally distinctive, Labisia ‘Serimbu’ is ideal for collectors who appreciate Bornean understory plants.
